Saturday was absolutely perfect. It was nerve-racking, breathtaking, full of excitement and happy tears. The entire night was flawless. It hit me at 3:00 when I was ready to put my dress on, that I was going to be married. It hit me when Kelly helped put on Mamaw's pearls and Amanda made her pre-wedding toast. It hit me when Dad and I turned to walk down the aisle and I saw my groom at the end.
The understatement of the year: when people kept saying, "Enjoy it! It goes by so fast!" they weren't kidding. I swear we blinked and next thing we know - we're hitched and driving home Sunday morning as Mr. & Mrs.
It was a great feeling having those we love around us. For them to be with us, sharing in our happiness - was exactly what we dreamed. We danced the night away - have memories to last us for years!! - and soaked up every ounce of love.
We'd like to thank everyone who helped to make our night was it was.
To Mom & Dad - You are our inspiration. We couldn't thank you enough for it all! We love you!
To Betsy & Bob - Thank you, thank you, thank you for starting off our weekend in style! :)
To our Grandparents - Your love and support has helped us grow, not alone - but together.
To Amanda, Dana, Kelly, Neil, Dan & Ryan - Words cannot describe how important it was to have you with us. You've seen us as our worst, and now, at our best. You are our family.
And, to our Family & Friends - Thank you being part of our Big Day! We were surrounded by those who love us and share in the memories for years to come.
Of course, I've made several phone calls this morning and afternoon, having to correct myself half-way through, as "Emily Carrico" and not "Emily Davis". Not sure I "feel" any different - but something in the air is definitely different.
This week Eric and I are packing and planning for our Caribbean Adventure! :) We're headed to San Juan on Saturday - with, what feels like thousands of things to take care of before.
A very, very special thank you to Randy & Kathy for our amazing wedding present! Our honeymoon will now be even that much more amazing!
